Multi-camera control app for iPhone and Android

Wireless, handheld, automated, synchronized

A desktop control software for your smartphones

XangleCS is a Mac and Windows application for building serious multi-camera systems for iPhones and Android devices. Connect the phones over Wi-Fi, arrange them on a rig, and control the whole array from one desktop interface.

Set the lens, exposure, focus, white balance, resolution, and frame rate. Then trigger every phone together, in Photo or Video, while the results move back to the computer automatically.

01 / Connect

Launch Xangle Camera Server on Mac or Windows. Open the remote camera app on each phone, keep it in the foreground, and place every device on the same local Wi-Fi network. Auto-number the array from the desktop.

02 / Control

Use one interface to select the lens and configure exposure, focus, white balance, resolution, and frame rate across the group. Lock the settings that matter before the take.

03 / Capture

Trigger a synchronized Photo, Video, or Sync Frame capture. XangleCS downloads the files to the desktop, where they become a working dataset instead of a pile of disconnected phone clips.

See the whole system before you trigger

The dashboard keeps the array legible: camera count, readiness, capture mode, lens, ISO, shutter speed, focus, white balance, video resolution, frame rate, and the latest acquired dataset.

When the take is complete, the desktop is already the handoff point for review, processing, naming, backup, and export.

Photo

Use native still capture when image quality, resolution, computational photography, HEIC, or ProRAW matters most. Timing is coordinated, but native still exposure can land at slightly different points across phones.

Video

Record motion from every phone at the selected resolution and frame rate. XangleCS prepares the streams and aligns the shared start, while the resulting movies transfer back to the desktop for editing or frame selection.

Sync Frame

When the moment matters more than native still quality, Sync Frame prepares the video streams, measures their phase, and saves one JPEG from a selected video frame. It is the timing-first mode for matching a moment across views.

One capture system. Many outputs.

The point is not just to trigger phones. It is to acquire a coherent set of views that can move into the next tool, whether that is an off-the-shelf workflow or a custom pipeline.

Photogrammetry

Capture overlapping stills for reconstruction and measurement.

3D Gaussian splats

Build dense, viewable scenes from a multi-angle image set.

4D Gaussian splats

Use synchronized views over time for dynamic subjects and motion.

Bullet-time

Trigger an array around a subject and turn the sequence into a moving viewpoint.

Custom multi-camera technology

Use the files, timing, and control surface as the foundation for your own research, installation, event, or production system.

From phones on a bar to usable data

XangleCS makes the desktop the coordination layer: one trigger, one dataset, one place to review what arrived. Scale the rig to the requirement, then keep the output open for your preferred processing workflow.

Build the camera system around the shot

Start with a few phones. Add devices as the requirement grows. XangleCS gives the array a common control surface, synchronized capture modes, automatic desktop transfer, and a clear path to the result.
